Click the player’s name below to see some action shots of game 4. Not everyone was at the game so we will be taking more pictures. Also, if you notice that a player has 10x more pictures than another it is most likely due to the action of the game at the time. As more pictures are taken at games the number of pictures will work out per player. No worries…

This morning we were invited and had the privilege of taking pictures of a sled hockey team. The team consists of handicap players ranging from young children, teenagers, and married couples. It was a lot of fun and we are very honored to take pictures of the team. We took the individual and team photos as well as some action shots. I talked to one of the coaches afterward and he stated that the kids on the team are very excited about the pictures and that for some of them this is the first time the players have ever had a team photo. Photo shoots like these are truly a privilege to be a part of.
The photo below is one I added to our pics of the day gallery. This picture was taken of the kids while the players were getting ready. This picture has lots of neat elements
1. The kids posing together comfortably with no forced smiles
2. The fog on the ice
3. The mixture of a pose with the hockey coaches getting after it in the background

A quick glance back
This is a quick video I put together when Krystal was younger when she scored her first ever soccer goal. This also was my first ever video I created using iMovie. Krystal loved the video…

I thought this would be interesting to write about since it is a lively topic with the kids. This year the kids school is participating in the Marathon kids program. Each week Ryan and Krystal participate in a fun run. The goal is to complete a mile every other Friday and by the end of the school year the sum of all the miles would equal or be greater than a marathon. It is interesting to go up to the school and see the other statistics the PE teachers are keeping such as students per grade with the most laps, the overall percentage of students per teacher that complete a mile each time they run. Well, Ryan and Krystal have no issue completing one mile (6 laps) every other week in the fun run.
The debate between Ryan and Krystal is who is faster?
Krystal completes at least (7-8) laps per fun run. Ryan consistently gets (6-7) laps. Then after a lively debate in the car about who is fastest Ryanl came home with a (9) lap certificate showing us how it is done :-). With Ryan completing this milestone we came to the conclusion that Ryan is faster in short distance running but Krystal is faster in long distance running.
About a week later Krystal came home with a (9) lap certificate and now it is a fun conversation every Friday when they come home after the fun run.

After using Gallery with my hosting provider and realizing that it was to slow and did not offer the features I wanted I moved our online image gallery to Smugmug. I learned about Smugmug from a friend in London, the Fretheims.
Smugmug is a great online gallery that provides unlimited bandwidth and storage space and a great interface. It does cost money for these features but it is worth every penny. I plan to re-design Jeanee’s photo web site using the customization options of smugmug. Also the support at smugmug is awesome.
My very first support experience with Smugmug was via email, the primary support interface. My expectation was to send a mail and then get a response in a day or two. Bam, 5 minutes later I got a response and this is before I paid for the service. Ok, I thought maybe this was luck. But, I sent a few more questions throughout the month and no matter the time I send the mail I get a super ubber quick response.
The company is very interactive with customers and listens to feature requests. Very nice…

Most of the time Jeanee gets the great action shots. On this rare occasion I actually held the camera straight and got a good picture

After almost a year we finally are a month away from closing on our new home in Austin. We are very excited to get out of our apartment and into a house again. Here is a photo of the house taken today of the almost finished product.

This is a very bad video that I took of Ryan doing a rap version of some song he learned at school. I assumed the camera would automagically change the orientation when I switch from horizontal to vertical but…..

Krystal had a good soccer game on Saturday. This was her first time to volunteer to be goalie during a soccer game. She had a lot of fun playing goalie and got the most shots on goal for the entire game. She did good and got in the dirt and stopped a few. I was very proud of her for being so aggressive.
A couple other good action shots of Krystal are here.

We have posted some great action shots of the LCPYL 8U Rockies game online. I have tagged all the photos and put this small table together to help players and parents navigate to the pictures they would like to view. Good game, the kids had a great time. Thanks for a good game Coach James….
